Novi Sad's cultural landscape is defined by its diverse institutions, from the Serbian National Theatre, the oldest professional theater in the country, to the Museum of Vojvodina’s archaeological and ethnographic collections. The Gallery of Matica Srpska houses a vast collection of Serbian art spanning four centuries, while the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina focuses on modern media and regional installations.
