Cultural Heritage of Nový Bor

Nový Bor is a historic center of the Bohemian glass industry, showcased at the Glass Museum and the Ajeto Art Glass studio. Beyond its industrial heritage, the town preserves the somber history of the 1918 Rumburk Rebellion through dedicated memorials at the execution site and the local cemetery. This collection highlights the intersection of artistic craftsmanship and significant 20th-century military history within the town’s landscape.

Sklářské muzeum Nový Bor

Housed in a late Baroque building from 1804, this museum documents the development of glass refining techniques from the 17th century to the present, featuring extensive collections of painted, engraved, and cut glass.

Ajeto Art Glass

A contemporary glassworks and gallery founded by architect Bořek Šípek, offering public viewing of traditional glassblowing techniques and a collection of modern art glass.
