Iconic Peaks of Oberstdorf

The Allgäu Alps around Oberstdorf feature a diverse range of summits, from the 2,224-meter Nebelhorn, accessible via cable car, to the Großer Krottenkopf, the range's highest peak at 2,656 meters. This selection includes the distinctive limestone plateau of Hoher Ifen and the famously steep, grass-covered ridges of the Höfats. Climbers often target the Trettachspitze for its technical difficulty, while the Biberkopf marks the southernmost point of Germany. These peaks define the border region between Bavaria and the Austrian states of Tyrol and Vorarlberg.
