Orlando’s cultural landscape features diverse institutions ranging from the Orlando Museum of Art and the Menello Museum of American Folk Art to the interactive Orlando Science Center. Local history is preserved at the Orange County Regional History Center, while specialized collections include over 500 real animal skeletons at the Museum of Osteology. The city’s performing arts scene is represented by the SAK Comedy Lab’s improvisational theater and The Plaza Live, a former cinema converted into a premier live music and performance venue.
