Ouddorp’s coastal landscape features a mix of managed nature reserves and natural reefs. The Kabbelaarsbank area, situated on the Brouwersdam, provides sheltered spots for observing migratory birds and seals in the Grevelingenmeer. Inland, the Koudenhoek wetlands offer a habitat for spoonbills and shorebirds. Along the coast, the Geerligsplaat and Aardappelenbult reefs represent unique underwater ecosystems and tidal features characteristic of the North Sea transition zones.
