Palma Castles and Fortifications

Palma’s defensive history is anchored by Bellver Castle, a rare 14th-century circular Gothic fortress, and the Almudaina Palace, a Moorish citadel repurposed as a royal residence. This collection also features the 17th-century Castell de Sant Carles, which houses a military museum, and the medieval Torre de Paraires, one of the oldest coastal defense towers in the Mediterranean.
