Climbing in the Calanques

The Calanques National Park contains over 3,000 routes across white limestone cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean. This selection features iconic multi-pitch routes like the Arête de Marseille on the Grande Candelle and the remote, vertical walls of the Devenson. Climbers can find diverse terrain ranging from the overhanging Paroi de la Concave to the technical slabs of Luminy. Many sectors require hiking or rappelling for access, providing a mix of sport and traditional climbing in a protected maritime environment.
