Must-See Santarém District

Santarém District, the heart of Portugal's Ribatejo region, preserves a dense concentration of Gothic architecture and Templar history. This selection spans the monumental churches of Santarém city, the medieval man-made tunnels of Lapas, and the Templar legacy at Quinta da Cardiga.
