Ravenna Essentials

Ravenna served as the capital of the Western Roman Empire and the Byzantine Exarchate, resulting in eight UNESCO World Heritage sites. This collection highlights the city's 5th and 6th-century mosaics, from the octagonal Basilica of San Vitale to the starlit ceiling of the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia.
