Región de Murcia's Essential Wonders

The Región de Murcia showcases a diverse heritage spanning from the Punic and Roman ruins of Cartagena to the medieval Lorca Castle. Its maritime history is highlighted by the 19th-century Peral submarine, while the coastline features the pristine sands of Calblanque and the eroded sandstone formations of Bolnuevo. Inland, the Salto del Usero provides natural pools formed by the Mula River. Military history is preserved in the 20th-century coastal batteries of Castillitos and Las Cenizas, which once guarded this strategic Mediterranean port.
