Historic Religious Sites
Romania’s religious landscape features a diverse collection of architectural styles and spiritual traditions. This list includes the UNESCO-listed Voroneț Monastery, famous for its "Voroneț Blue" frescoes, and the Stavropoleos Church, a prime example of the Brâncovenesc style. It spans the massive Gothic Saint Michael Church in Cluj-Napoca, the fortified Lutheran church of Prejmer, and the Moorish-style Fabric Synagogue in Timișoara. St. George's Cathedral
St. George's Cathedral in Timișoara is a Baroque Roman Catholic church built between 1736 and 1774, serving as the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Timișoara. It is a prominent city landmark featuring notable architecture, rich interior decorations, and multiple altars.
Bârsana Monastery
Located in the Maramureș region, Bârsana Monastery is a complex of traditional wooden structures built in the 1990s on a historic 14th-century monastic site. The complex features an 18th-century church, relocated from its original position, and a 57-meter-tall wooden bell tower.
