Santa Fe Mountain Peaks

Santa Fe is framed by the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the east and the Ortiz Mountains to the south. This collection features diverse topography ranging from the 12,633-foot alpine summit of Santa Fe Baldy to the historic mining slopes of the Cerrillos Hills. These peaks define the region’s high-desert landscape, offering a mix of challenging backcountry hikes and sites of significant prehistoric and 19th-century mineral exploration.
