Best Viewpoints in Santos

This selection of viewpoints highlights the diverse geography of the Baixada Santista, from the historic 17th-century sanctuary atop Monte Serrat to the modern coastal parks of São Vicente. The list includes the primary paragliding launch site at Morro da Asa Delta, the industrial maritime perspectives of the Port of Santos channel, and the high-altitude vistas of the Serra do Mar mountain range.

Monte Serrat

Accessible by a 1927 funicular or a 402-step staircase, this 147-meter hill features the 1603 Sanctuary of Our Lady of Monte Serrat and a former casino building, offering 360-degree views of the port and city.

Teleférico de São Vicente

A cable car system connecting Itararé Beach to the summit of Morro do Voturuá. The ride reaches a height of approximately 170 meters above sea level.

Morro da Asa Delta

Also known as Morro do Voturuá, this peak serves as a take-off point for paragliding and hang gliding. It provides panoramic views of the bays of Santos and São Vicente.

Mirante do Emissário Submarino

Located at the end of the Santos beach line, this coastal overlook features a massive red steel sculpture by Tomie Ohtake and provides views of the entire 7-kilometer garden strip.

A refurbished platform situated on the estuary channel, specifically designed for observing the transit of large cargo ships and cruise liners entering the Port of Santos.

Situated on the edge of the Serra do Mar, this overlook provides views of the valley leading toward the coast. On clear days, the industrial complexes of the lowland are visible through the mountain mist.
