Sfântu Gheorghe and its surroundings offer a variety of green spaces, from the central Parcul Elisabeta to the specialized Múzeumkert surrounding the Székely National Museum. The region is defined by its volcanic geology, resulting in several traditional mineral water springs like Izv. Popii and Izv. Elisabeta. Nearby, the lakes of Ilieni and Gémvári provide quiet spots for walking, while former industrial sites like the mining lakes have been reclaimed by nature.
