Sunshine Coast Highlights

The Sunshine Coast hinterland and coastline offer a diverse range of natural landmarks, from the volcanic peaks of the Glass House Mountains to the ancient rainforests of Conondale and Kondalilla National Parks. This selection features prominent waterfalls like the 90-meter Kondalilla Falls and Serenity Falls in Buderim Forest Park, alongside strategic vantage points such as Baroon Lookout and Low's Lookout, which provide views over the Obi Obi Gorge and the Pacific Ocean.

Booloumba Falls

Located in Conondale National Park, these falls feature a series of cascades and a deep turquoise swimming hole. Access requires a high-clearance 4WD vehicle due to several creek crossings.

Gardners Falls

A short walk along the banks of Obi Obi Creek leads to these falls near Maleny. The area features a large natural swimming pool surrounded by native forest and rock ledges.

Kondalilla Falls

This 90-meter waterfall drops into a rainforest valley within the Blackall Range. A 4.7-kilometer circuit track provides access to the base of the falls and several upper rock pools.

Baroon Lookout

Situated on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk, this vantage point offers views across the Obi Obi Creek gorge and the Narrows of Lake Baroon.

Summer Falls

A seasonal waterfall located within Conondale National Park, accessible via the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk circuit.

Peters Falls

A coastal park at Moffat Beach named in honor of surfing pioneers Charles and Marjorie Bendall. It serves as a vantage point for watching surfers at the point break.

Low's Lookout

A hilltop viewpoint in Coolum Beach providing vistas of the coastline stretching from Noosa to Maroochydore and the surrounding hinterland peaks.

Jack Ferris Lookout

Located near the base of Mount Beerwah, this lookout provides a clear perspective of the Glass House Mountains' unique rhyolite plugs and the surrounding pine plantations.
