Hidden Gems of Suriname

Suriname’s interior holds remnants of colonial history and dense tropical landscapes. This collection features Jodensavanne, the ruins of the first autonomous Jewish settlement in the Americas, alongside the diverse waterfalls of Brownsberg Nature Park, including the Irene and Leo falls. Jodensavanne was a Jewish plantation community in Suriname, South America, and was for a time the centre of Jewish life in the colony.
