Ancient Ruins and Towers

This collection highlights the diverse architectural heritage of Tarifa and the surrounding coastline. It features the exceptionally well-preserved Roman town of Baelo Claudia, including its forum, theater, and market. The list also encompasses strategic coastal watchtowers like Torre de la Peña and Torre Vigía Guadalmesi, which once defended the Strait of Gibraltar. Within the town, the 13th-century Puerta de Jerez and the Gothic-Mudejar Iglesia de Santa María showcase the region's medieval history and military significance.
