Tashkent’s religious landscape spans centuries of architectural history, from the 16th-century Barakhan Madrasah to the grand Hazrati Imom Mosque. The city reflects a diverse spiritual heritage, featuring the Gothic-style Roman Catholic Sacred Heart Cathedral alongside the gold-domed Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Assumption. Many sites are centered around the historic Khast Imam complex, a focal point of Islamic scholarship that houses one of the world's oldest surviving Qurans.
