Historic Sites

Toledo’s architectural history unfolds through these seven landmarks, spanning from Roman engineering to Renaissance grandeur. The collection includes the Puente de Alcántara and the remnants of a Roman aqueduct along the Tagus River. Medieval defense is represented by the Castle of San Servando and the mudéjar-style Palace of Galiana. In the city center, the Alcázar houses a military museum, while the Palacio Arzobispal and the Santa Cruz Museum showcase intricate Plateresque and Renaissance designs across centuries of ecclesiastical and civil history.

Palacio Arzobispal de Toledo

Renaissance and Baroque palace serving as the official residence of the Archbishop of Toledo. Located opposite the Cathedral, the building features work by architects Alonso de Covarrubias and Juan de Herrera, with construction spanning from the 13th to the 18th centuries.

Remains of the Roman Aqueduct
