Alpine Huts and Shelters

This collection of high-altitude mountain huts and shelters spans the Julian Alps within Triglav National Park. Key locations include the Triglav Lodge at Kredarica, Slovenia's highest hut and meteorological station at 2,515 meters, and the Planika Lodge on the southern side of Mount Triglav. The list features essential refuges near the Vršič Pass and strategic stops like Pogačnikov dom, situated on the karst plateau of Kriški podi near three alpine lakes, providing vital support for multi-day trekking routes.
