Vatican Museums & Art

The Vatican Museums & Art collection encompasses one of the most prestigious art assemblies in the world. Centered around the Vatican Museums, the complex includes the Sistine Chapel and the Raphael Rooms. The Vatican Art Gallery (Pinacoteca) displays works by masters such as Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci, and Caravaggio. Adjacent to the museums, Saint Peter’s Basilica showcases Renaissance and Baroque architecture, housing Michelangelo’s Pietà and Bernini’s Baldacchino, while the Sacristy preserves centuries of liturgical treasures and papal artifacts.

Vatican Art Gallery

Sacristy

Located on the south side of Saint Peter's Basilica, the Sacristy houses the Treasury Museum. The collection includes liturgical vessels, vestments, papal tiaras, and religious artifacts spanning from the early Christian era to the present day.
