Parks and Gardens

Vigo’s green spaces range from the 17th-century fortifications of Monte do Castro and San Sebastián to the formal French and English gardens of Pazo de Castrelos. The city’s landscape includes historic alamedas like Plaza de Compostela and coastal forest reserves such as San Miguel de Oia. These sites preserve local history through archaeological settlements, traditional Galician pazos, and contemporary architectural designs by Ricardo Bofill, showcasing botanical collections including century-old camellias.
