Coastal Escapes

Western Greece’s coastline spans the Ionian Sea and the Corinthian Gulf, offering diverse geological features. This selection includes the expansive sand dunes of Kalogria, bordered by the protected Strofylia pine forest, and the long sandy stretch of Kourouta near Amaliada. In contrast, the Corinthian Gulf coast provides pebble shores like Digeliotika. The list also highlights the unique lagoon environment of Tourlida, characterized by shallow waters and traditional stilt houses, alongside remote coves like Gianiskari and the pine-fringed Kounoupelaki.
