Theatres and Cinemas

Yerevan’s cultural center features a high concentration of historic performance venues and cinemas within the central district. This selection includes the Art Deco Moscow Cinema, the Soviet-modernist Komitas Chamber Music House, and the National Academic Theatre. Many of these venues, such as the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall and Nairi Cinema, are housed in landmark buildings designed by prominent architects like Alexander Tamanian, reflecting the city's 20th-century urban development and its long-standing tradition of dramatic and musical arts.
