Ždiar Essentials
Ždiar serves as the gateway to the Belianske Tatry, characterized by preserved Goral folk architecture and timbered houses. The area features the Bachledova dolina Treetop Walk and a 1,200-meter-long mountain bobsled track. Dominating the skyline are the limestone peaks of Havran and Ždiarska vidla. Visitors can explore local traditions at the Ždiarsky dom museum or utilize the Strednica ski resort, which offers wide slopes suitable for beginners and families.
Vyhliadková veža - chodník v korunách stromov
A 32-meter high observation tower at the end of a 600-meter long wooden walkway. Located on the ridge of Spišská Magura, it offers 360-degree views of the Belianske Tatry and Pieniny mountains.
Havran
The highest peak of the Belianske Tatry at 2,152 meters. This limestone mountain is part of a strictly protected nature reserve and is not accessible via marked hiking trails.
Ždiarska vidla
The second-highest peak in the Belianske Tatry at 2,142 meters. Known for its distinctive shape, it forms a prominent silhouette alongside Havran. The peak is closed to the public for nature conservation.
Ždiarsky dom
A traditional timbered house serving as a museum of Goral culture. It displays historical costumes and tools, while the restaurant serves regional specialties like bryndzové halušky in an authentic folk setting.
Nový vrch
A 2,009-meter limestone peak in the western part of the Belianske Tatry. It is located within a national nature reserve with restricted access to preserve the alpine ecosystem.
Bobová dráha Bachledova dolina
A 1,200-meter-long mountain bobsled track featuring 15 curves and a vertical drop of 111 meters. It reaches speeds up to 40 km/h and operates in both summer and winter.
Strednica
A ski resort located at the foot of the Belianske Tatry. It features wide, gentle slopes designed for beginners and intermediate skiers, supported by several T-bar lifts and a four-seater chairlift.
Reštaurácia Medvedí brloh Strachan
A themed restaurant featuring rustic wooden interiors and bear-inspired decor. It specializes in traditional Slovak and Goral cuisine, offering outdoor seating with views of the mountain peaks.
Vodopády
Natural cascades located along the hiking trails in the Monkova dolina valley. These waterfalls are part of the water system draining the eastern slopes of the Belianske Tatry.

A Roman Catholic church built in the late 19th century. The architecture reflects the local mountain style, featuring a wooden interior and serving as the spiritual center for the Ždiar community.
