Built in 1627, this Shinto shrine is dedicated to the most famous shogun of the Tokugawa clan and one of Japan's most prominent personalities of all times, Tokugawa Ieyasu. The shrine is decorated with gold and hand carved decorations, such as flowers, birds and dragons. Admission to most of the area is free, visitors are charged only if they want to go past the gate.
