Umění a kultura v Assisi

Assisi Art & Culture

Assisi’s artistic legacy spans from Roman foundations to contemporary expressions. This collection features the UNESCO-listed Basilica of Saint Francis, home to frescoes by Giotto and Cimabue, and the Gothic Basilica of Saint Clare. Beyond the major churches, explore the Roman Forum beneath Piazza del Comune, the medieval frescoes within Palazzo Vallemani, and specialized collections like the Missionary Museum. Modern bronze sculptures and monuments throughout the town bridge the gap between historical religious tradition and modern spiritual art.
