Observation Towers & Viewpoints

This collection features architectural landmarks and scenic viewpoints across the Hradec Králové Region. It includes the 72-meter Renaissance White Tower, the Dušan Jurkovič-designed Jiráskova chata, and the futuristic meteorological observatory atop Sněžka. Visitors can explore the Krkonoše treetop walkway, historic city gates in Jičín, and mountain-top towers like Čáp, the highest peak of the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks. These sites offer perspectives ranging from urban skylines to the rugged landscapes of the Giant and Jizera Mountains.

White Tower

Renaissance bell tower standing 72 meters tall and built from Hořice sandstone. It features the historic Augustin bell, an astronomical clock, and galleries providing panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains.

Stezka korunami stromů Krkonoše

A 45-meter-high observation tower featuring a 1,500-meter-long walkway through the forest canopy. It includes an educational underground center and a 50-meter-long spiral slide. The entire structure is wheelchair accessible.

Jiráskova chata

The chalet is an architectural pearl designed by Dušan Jurkovič at the beginning of the 20th century.

Rozhledna na vrchu Čáp

A 13-meter-tall wooden and steel tower situated at 786 meters, the highest point of the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks. It provides views of the Krkonoše, Orlické Mountains, and the surrounding sandstone rock formations.

Valdická brána

Originally there were several gates such as this one in Jičín. However, most of them were torn down when the city was being reconstructed.

Masarykova věž samostatnosti

A 25-meter sandstone tower built in the 1920s as a memorial to Czechoslovak independence. It houses a museum dedicated to local history and the resistance, offering views over Hořice and the Polabí lowlands.

A 24-meter-tall wooden observation tower located near the Stachelberg artillery fortress. It overlooks the Rýchory Mountains and the Libavské sedlo pass, serving as a strategic viewpoint near the Czech-Polish border.

Ruprechtický Špičák

A 22-meter steel telecommunications tower and lookout point located on the highest peak of the Javoří Mountains at 880 meters. It offers a 360-degree panorama of the Broumov region and the Krkonoše range.

rozhledna Milíř

A modern, 31-meter-tall triangular steel and wooden tower situated on Milíř hill. It features three observation platforms, with the highest providing views of Hradec Králové and the Iron Mountains.
