Dingli Essentials

Perched on Malta's highest plateau at 253 meters above sea level, Dingli features dramatic limestone cliffs that drop sheer into the Mediterranean Sea. The area contains the prehistoric Misrah Ghar il-Kbir cart ruts, the 17th-century Chapel of Saint Mary Magdalene, and the complex cave system of Għar il-Kbir. Nearby, the Renaissance-style Verdala Palace stands within the Buskett Gardens, the island's only semi-natural woodland, while the village center is characterized by the 20th-century Parish Church of the Assumption.
