Historic Forts and Museums
This collection highlights the defensive history and cultural heritage of the Edam-Volendam region. It features several fortifications belonging to the Stelling van Amsterdam, a UNESCO World Heritage defense line, including the well-preserved Fort bij Edam. A Volendam Museum

Part of the Stelling van Amsterdam, this site is unique as the fort was never fully completed, leaving behind specific earthworks and a single storage building.
Het schooltje van Dik Trom
A museum housed in the 19th-century schoolhouse where author C. Joh. Kieviet taught and wrote the first stories of the famous Dutch children's character, Dik Trom.
