Peaks and Panoramas
The Iveragh Peninsula's rugged landscape is home to Ireland’s highest mountain range, the MacGillycuddy's Reeks. This collection highlights Carrauntoohil, rising to 1,038 meters, alongside the serrated ridges of The Big Gun and Purple Mountain. Key vantage points include Ladies View, named for Queen Victoria’s court in 1861, and Moll’s Gap, a glaciated mountain pass offering vistas of the Black Valley. Further west, the Coomakista pass provides clear sightlines across Kenmare River toward the Skellig Islands, while the Head of Dunloe marks the summit of a narrow glaciated valley.
A Ladies View
Named after Queen Victoria’s ladies-in-waiting who visited in 1861. The vantage point overlooks the Three Lakes of Killarney and the Black Valley.
B Moll's Gap
Mountain pass on the N71 road offering vistas of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks. The area is noted for its glaciated landscape and Old Red Sandstone rock formations.
Carrauntoohil

D Coomakista
Coastal pass on the Ring of Kerry between Waterville and Caherdaniel. It provides views of Derrynane Bay, Kenmare River, and the Skellig Islands.
E Head of Dunloe
The summit of the glaciated Gap of Dunloe pass. Located between Purple Mountain and the MacGillycuddy's Reeks, it overlooks the valley's narrow road and remote lakes.
