Historical Heritage Sites

This collection features significant archaeological sites along the Qhapaq Ñan, the ancient Andean road system recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Located in the high Andes of Mendoza, these locations include "tambos"—Inca waystations and storage facilities—such as Tambo de Ranchillos and Tambillos. The list also highlights the historic Christ the Redeemer of the Andes monument, situated at 3,832 meters on the border between Argentina and Chile, alongside preserved sections of the original stone-paved mountain trails.
