Museums & Art Galleries

Limerick’s cultural landscape is anchored by the Hunt Museum, housed in the 18th-century Custom House, which displays artifacts ranging from the Neolithic period to modern works by Picasso. The city’s history is documented at the Limerick Museum, while contemporary visual arts are showcased in the historic Carnegie Building of the Limerick City Gallery of Art. Independent spaces like Ormston House and the multi-disciplinary Belltable arts center provide platforms for modern performance and experimental exhibitions.
