Northland's Natural Wonders
Northland’s landscape is defined by the ancient Waipoua Forest, home to the 2,000-year-old Tāne Mahuta kauri tree, and the dramatic collision of the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean at Cape Reinga. The region features the 88-kilometre-long Ninety Mile Beach, the limestone-fringed Whangārei Falls, and deep estuarine environments like Hokianga Harbour.
