Nature and Caves of Sardinia

Sardinia’s geological diversity spans from the karst systems of the Supramonte range to the volcanic massifs of the southwest. This collection features the Grotta di Ispinigoli, home to one of Europe’s tallest stalagmites, and the sea-level Neptune’s Grotto. Coastal highlights include the dramatic cliffs of Cape Carbonara and the Grotta del Bue Marino, a former habitat for monk seals. Inland, the list covers the 785-meter volcanic peak of Mount Arcuentu and the seasonal Lequarci waterfalls in the Ogliastra region.
