Chungcheongnam-do Essentials

Chungcheongnam-do preserves the legacy of the Baekje Kingdom through UNESCO-listed historic sites in Buyeo and Gongju. Royal Tombs in Neungsan-ri, Buyeo (Baekje Historic Areas)

A UNESCO World Heritage site featuring seven royal tumuli from the Sabi period of the Baekje Kingdom. These tombs are located on the southern slope of Mt. Busosanseong and yielded significant artifacts like the Baekje Incense Burner.

Busosanseong Fortress

This earthen fortress served as the final defense for the Baekje capital. The site includes the Nakhwaam Rock cliff overlooking the Baengmagang River and several pavilions dating back to the Sabi period.
