Bear Lake

Formed in 1875, this is the world's largest heliothermic lake. Its salt concentration and solar heat absorption create distinct thermal layers, with temperatures reaching peak levels a few meters below the surface.

A protected geological formation consisting of exposed salt karst. Erosion has shaped the white salt into sharp ridges and deep furrows, creating a landscape unique to the Transylvanian plateau.
