Imereti’s landscape is defined by diverse karst formations, dramatic waterfalls, and significant mountain peaks. This region features extensive subterranean systems like the Prometheus and Sataplia caves, known for their stalactite galleries and prehistoric dinosaur footprints. Natural landmarks include the 40-meter Katskhi Pillar monolith and the high-altitude Mepistskaro peak. The area is also home to significant water features, including the tiered Kinchkha Waterfall and the multi-level Tsutskhvati cave system, which contains archaeological layers dating back to the Paleolithic era.
