Himalayan Peaks and Glaciers

Karnali’s high-altitude landscape is dominated by the Gurans and Gorakh Himal ranges, featuring prominent summits like the 7,031-meter Saipal. This remote region marks the transition to the Tibetan Plateau, characterized by the Changla range and the high-altitude glacial systems of Humla and Mugu. These peaks and the Gumba 1 Glacier lake represent some of the least-explored terrain in the Himalayas, serving as a critical watershed and a natural border with the Tibet Autonomous Region.
