Landau in der Pfalz Highlights

Landau in der Pfalz Essentials

Landau in der Pfalz features a blend of military history and ecclesiastical architecture. The city's landscape is defined by the Vauban-designed fortifications and the 675-year-old Stiftskirche, its oldest church. Cultural landmarks include the Art Nouveau Jugendstil Festhalle and the historicist Villa Streccius. Beyond the center, the ruins of Burgruine Neukastel and the Kleine Kalmit hill offer viewpoints over the Palatine Forest, while the 1904 zoo provides a specialized wildlife experience.
