Holy Island Essentials

Holy Island showcases a dense concentration of maritime and prehistoric landmarks off the coast of Anglesey. This selection features the iconic South Stack Lighthouse and the 1.7-mile Holyhead Breakwater, the longest in the UK. Historical sites range from the Iron Age Caer y Twr hillfort and Cytiau'r Gwyddelod hut circles to the medieval St Cybi’s Church, built within the walls of a Roman fort. South Stack Lighthouse Viewpoint

Offers panoramic views of the 19th-century lighthouse situated on a tiny islet. The surrounding cliffs are a significant RSPB nature reserve, home to nesting puffins, razorbills, and guillemots during spring and summer.
