Founded by survivors of the Khmer Rouge, the circus functions as a social business extension of the Phare Ponleu Selpak non-profit school. It provides a professional platform for young performers to develop their talents while generating revenue to support educational and social programs.
The venue offers vocational training and employment opportunities for Cambodian youth. Performances are artistic in nature and integrate elements of theater and dance to portray various aspects of local culture and history.
