Known as La Casa Azul, this historic residence is the place where the artist was born and later passed away. It was officially opened on July 1, 1958, to preserve the personal environment and artistic contributions of its former inhabitants. The property covers an area of 2,620 square meters and reflects the mid-20th-century bohemian lifestyle of Mexican intellectuals.
The interior showcases a collection of personal belongings and pre-Columbian artifacts alongside significant paintings. The rooms maintain the original arrangement of furniture and creative tools used by the artist and her husband, the muralist Diego Rivera.
The site is open to the public and serves as a significant cultural center. It provides an intimate look into the daily life and working spaces of the former residents, preserving a wide range of personal objects and historical items.
