Roman Theatre

Dating back to the 1st century, this site represents a primary vestige of Roman presence in the region. Although some sources trace its origins to the 1st century BC, the structure is largely associated with the early Roman Empire. It remained hidden for centuries until its rediscovery in 1951. As a National Monument, it serves as a significant historical landmark reflecting ancient architectural heritage.

The site consists of the essential elements of a Roman theater, including the cavea (spectator seating), the orchestra, and the scaena (stage). These ruins are accessible through a system of wooden walkways that allow for close observation of the archaeological remains.

An adjacent interpretation center provides historical context for the ruins. This facility features 3D reconstructions and educational displays that illustrate the theater's original appearance and function. The site is open to the public and is designated as wheelchair accessible.
