This monument ring serves as a cluster of notable graves and a "hall of fame" for distinguished figures. The site contains the resting places of several prominent individuals buried within approximately 30–40 metres of each other, including the composer Leoš Janáček, architect Bohuslav Fuchs, and the writer and journalist Karel Vaněk. Also located within this circle are the graves of writer and theatre director Jiří Mahen, archaeologist and explorer Karel Absolon, and poet Jan Skácel.
The section also serves as the final resting place for the writer Milan Kundera and his wife Vera. Their burial site features a unique 'levitating' headstone designed by the architect Johannes Paar. The area is open to the public as part of the cemetery grounds.
