This historic complex dates back to the late Middle Ages and is a designated Cultural Heritage Site. It comprises a stepped-gable residential house, a residential tower, and a Torkel building, which previously functioned as a wine press.

The structures are characterized by a distinctive dark red facade. In the early 20th century, the artist and architect Egon Rheinberger expanded the complex, integrating the medieval core with newer architectural elements.
