Inaugurated on February 17, 2011, by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, this facility is recognized as the world's first museum dedicated to the exploration of art, science, culture, and technology. The building is a notable landmark featuring lotus flower-inspired architecture designed by Moshe Safdie.
The museum primarily hosts touring exhibitions curated by international institutions alongside its permanent exhibition, Future World. Created in collaboration with teamLab, the permanent space contains immersive and interactive artworks categorized into sections such as 'City in Nature' and 'Exploring New Frontiers'. These installations utilize technology to encourage exploration and reflection on the environment.
The venue also includes the ArtScience Gallery and offers complimentary entry to selected shows. The site serves as a unique space for events and the display of contemporary art and science-themed collections.
