Named after the Greek goddess of wisdom, this historical building houses a highly regarded and reputed scientific, literary and artistic institution which promotes culture and science in Spain.
Even if some of the areas are still used for research and cannot be accessed, there is still a lot to explore. The Portrait Gallery displays a unique collection by Spanish artists, such as Madrazo and Rosales. It also houses a restaurant.
