Chilean Bicentennial Flag

This huge Chilean flag can be found flagging on a 61-meter-high steel flagpole located between Plaza de la Ciudadanía and Plaza Bulnes. It was raised in 2010 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the beginning of Chilean Independence. The 27-meter-long and 19-meter-wide flag should symbolise the brotherhood, freedom and hope for a better future.
