The modern building with glass walls is home to a precious collection of contemporary art. It exhibits mainly works by Catalan and Spanish artists including Antoni Tàpies and Paul Klee, but some international artists are also on display.
The art gallery is also significant for its architecture - this intriguing building was designed by an award-winning American architect Richard Meier who is known for the use of geometric designs and the colour white.
